Video and Audio Download Guides
Updated: 22 October 2026 · The Alpha 1 Company
Start with a video you own or have permission to save. These guides explain supported links, how to choose video or audio, and how to save the prepared file.
Quick reference: links and limits
| Source | Individual-video link examples | Common restriction |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube | youtube.com/watch, youtube.com/shorts, youtu.be | Sign-in, region, or automated-access restrictions |
| instagram.com/reel or /p | Private accounts or required platform sessions | |
| facebook.com video/watch links, fb.watch | Private groups or limited-audience posts | |
| TikTok | tiktok.com/@creator/video, vm.tiktok.com, vt.tiktok.com | Removed clips or expired share links |
The default size limit is 100 MB. Choose MP4 video or MP3, M4A, Opus, WAV, or FLAC audio. Availability depends on the source; audio downloads need an audio track. The page shows the actual expiry when a prepared file is ready.
YouTube video downloader: videos and Shorts
Open the individual video or Short and use its share option to copy the video link. A supported link can look like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIDEO_ID, https://youtu.be/VIDEO_ID, or https://www.youtube.com/shorts/VIDEO_ID. These are format examples, not links to downloadable content.
Paste the individual video URL into the downloader, choose your Download format, then select Prepare download. The request is for one video. A playlist URL is not a bulk-download instruction, and the service does not offer a playlist queue. To save just the sound, choose an audio format before submitting.
If the video requires sign-in, has a regional restriction, or is blocked from automated access, processing may fail even when you can watch it in your own browser. Your browser’s logged-in session is not sent to this service. Do not send your YouTube password or cookies to support.
Instagram Reels downloader: Reels and video posts
Open the Reel or video post rather than a profile page. Use the post’s share/menu controls to copy its link; the exact position of those controls varies by app version. Typical individual-post paths include https://www.instagram.com/reel/POST_ID/ and https://www.instagram.com/p/POST_ID/.
Submit the post link and wait for a result. A profile, feed, image-only post, or private-account link is not a supported substitute for an individual public video. Some posts require authentication or are restricted by Instagram, and our service may not be able to prepare a file.
If a copied link opens a login page, first check whether the post is publicly available without your own account. Do not attempt to circumvent a private creator’s audience settings.
Facebook video downloader: public videos and Reels
Use the video’s share controls to copy its link. Submit a direct video/watch link or an https://fb.watch/… video share link. A general Facebook page or a link to a photo may not identify a downloadable video.
Videos posted to private groups, restricted profiles, or limited audiences can require permissions that this service does not have. Public visibility also depends on the creator’s settings, location restrictions, and platform access rules. A link that works inside your account may therefore fail here.
If you are the uploader, confirm that the link points to the intended video and that you are entitled to save all of its included audio and footage. For private content, use the source platform’s authorised export or download features where available.
TikTok video downloader: individual clips
Open the individual clip and copy its share link. The downloader accepts standard https://www.tiktok.com/@CREATOR/video/VIDEO_ID links and recognised TikTok short-share hosts such as vm.tiktok.com and vt.tiktok.com.
Short links may stop working if the underlying clip is removed or its availability changes. If a share link fails, try the original public clip URL from the browser address bar. Do not change the creator’s access settings or use third-party redirects to evade a restriction.
Choose an audio format to extract the clip’s available sound, or MP4 to keep the video. The service does not promise watermark removal or a particular resolution. The result depends on the media the source makes available.
YouTube to MP3 and other video-to-audio formats
- Copy an individual supported public video link and paste it into the downloader.
- In Download format, select Audio · MP3, Audio · M4A, Audio · Opus, Audio · WAV, or Audio · FLAC.
- Select Prepare download and wait for the audio result. Keep the tab open, or refresh it to check the remembered job.
- Select Download audio with your chosen format in the result. Save the file before the displayed link expiry.
MP3 is a familiar option for everyday listening. M4A contains AAC audio. Opus is another compressed option for compatible players. WAV stores uncompressed sound, while FLAC uses lossless encoding. WAV and FLAC can produce larger files, and none of these conversions can recover detail missing from the source. Check your player or editor’s accepted formats before choosing.
The same default 100 MB limit and temporary delivery window apply to audio. If a WAV or FLAC file is too large, try a compressed format or a shorter authorised video. To change formats after submitting, return to the downloader, paste the source link, choose the new format, and prepare a new job.
A silent video cannot produce a usable audio download. If the source blocks access or an audio file cannot be prepared, the audio request can fail; a video streaming fallback is not offered for an audio request. Saving a soundtrack does not grant permission to publish or redistribute it.
Save the prepared file
- Wait while your job is queued and processed. The status message shows a queue position when available.
- When ready, select Download video or Download audio for your selected format. Ads do not prepare or deliver the file; you never need to click an advertisement.
- Choose a save location if your browser asks. Otherwise, check the Downloads folder or browser download list.
- Open the file from a local media player. On a phone, importing it into the photo library is a separate device action.
A temporary link remains usable until the expiry shown with the result. If the transfer fails, retry that link before expiry. After expiry, submit the original authorised video link again. The default file-size limit is 100 MB; larger or unavailable formats can fail.
