Balance quality, dimensions, and transparency
JPG is useful for photographs and replaces transparent areas with a background. WebP and PNG can retain transparency. Lower JPG or WebP quality and smaller dimensions can reduce bytes; PNG ignores the quality setting.
Compare the output with your original
Re-encoding an already optimized image can increase its size. Review the preview, file size, and dimensions before saving. Animation, original metadata, and some color-profile details are not preserved; keep your source files.
